Fair does not have to mean identical
Match each task to the child’s abilities, time and available help. A younger sibling can put toys in a basket while an older sibling sorts the play area. Avoid comparing totals as a competition. Give each child an achievable responsibility and acknowledge their own effort.
Make the handoff explicit
Adults should agree on the same finish line before taking turns reviewing chores. If a task has already been approved, avoid asking another adult to approve it again. A shared task also needs a clear division of work so one child does not end up doing everything.
When a shared app helps
LvlUpKids supports separate child profiles and co-parent participation. Read the shared parent setup guide and chores by age guide. This printable organizer is a planning aid; it does not sync with your account.
