Start with the job you need done
Write down one responsibility that keeps getting missed and one result you would like to see. “Put the backpack by the door after dinner” is easier to evaluate than “be more responsible.” Then decide how much daily setup and checking the adults can realistically manage.

Compare with the same small trial
Use three familiar tasks, one clearly defined reward and the same adult check-in time. Note whether your child understands the next step, whether adults can keep up with checking, and how many reminders the routine needs. Include a missed task and a busy day; those reveal more than a perfect first morning.
